Via Maggio is one of the most prestigious historical streets of Florence. A stone's throw away from the Ponte Vecchio, Via Maggio, once home to the Florentine aristocracy, today houses the most exclusive antique shops, whilst the neighbouring area is bustling with craftsmen's workshops, shops as well as little markets. The Boboli Gardens, the delightful Piazza S. Spirito and the Pitti Palace are only a few steps away from the Palazzo and, crossing the river, it's only a short walk to the Uffizi, Piazza Signoria, the Duomo and Santa Croce.

HOW TO FIND US:
By car
From the A1 Motorway, take the exit Firenze Impruneta, then follow the signs for the city centre and the Piazzale Porta Romana which is near the Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL).
Via Maggio is inside the ZTL, and the restriction is enforced by CCTV (camera surveillance of the cars entering), so you can only access it for the purpose of dropping off luggage or reaching the few parking places (fee) in the zone.
If you wish to enter in via Maggio only to drop off your luggage, it is necessary to notify the Council of your car registration number within an hour of your entry in the ZTL. We can make this notification on your behalf if you wish.
The parking places closest to the B&B are the “Garage Fosi” in Borgo Tegolaio and the “Garage S. Trinita” in via del Presto di S. Martino.
From Porta Romana you will find the B&B on your right, 900 metres down Via Romana, and then Via Maggio.
You can catch a bus at the beginning of Via Romana (Nos. 11, 36, 37) and get off at the second stop.
By train
The B&B is 1.2 Km from the Railway Station of Santa Maria Novella, and you can reach it on foot in about 15 minutes or by taxi in 5 minutes.
For those using public transport, we advise you to take the electric bus "D", which leaves from the area in front of the ticket office, and get off on Piazza Pitti (11st stop). From there it is 50 m on foot, via "Sdrucciolo de' Pitti" street up to Via Maggio.
By plane
The Amerigo Vespucci airport (of Florence) is 7 Km away from the B&B and is well connected to the Railway Station of Santa Maria Novella by bus.
The taxis charge a fixed fare of € 25 from the airport to the hotels in the city centre.
